- LT (Light Tough)

- Airdrive Design

Airdrive Rotor

It is intuitive that the absence of water and dust inside the body preserves the mechanisms with the risks of corrosion, lengthening the life of the reel. On the most advanced reels, the system is also applied for the benefit of the guide and the control wheel, other weak points to protect. Both applications affect the sweetness of rotation, reducing friction and increasing the pleasure of fishing.
- ATD
Automatic progressive clutch. With the ATD the brake on the coil reacts in a sweet way to the initial stress, then sector progressively on the "brake" set. The concept of progressive clutch is brought to the extreme with the new ATD-Type L: now the resistance of the discs in results even more progressive and modular, allows a more effective and safe recovery even with thin threads.
- Zaion V
The Zaion V is the new super composite material developed by Daiwa to further improve the performance of the Light & Tough reels: it is as light as its 'older brother' Zaion and clearly faster and resistant to stress than the DS5 and DS4 materials. The mechanical properties of the Zaion V allow you to create more contained bodies and rotors than the DS5 and DS4 materials: internal mechanics can therefore work better, guarantees greater fluidity and higher resistance to fatigue by giving lighter and more performing reels to result . But that's not all! The Zaion V is a composite based on carbon fiber therefore totally insensitive to corrosion, even when using it in salted water.
- Tough Digigear
Higher level gears, developed starting from the famous Daiwa Digigear. Tough Digigear components have increased in size and improved in the materials, guarantee better performances of reliability and durability.
- LC ABS
